Emily Chen — DeFi, Web3 & Adoption Editor
I’m Emily Chen, DeFi and Web3 Editor at Coinsale.org, where I cover the intersection of protocols, products, and people driving real crypto adoption. My professional path runs through software engineering, product management, and finally editorial work in the blockchain space. I started out as a backend developer in San Francisco, then joined a Web3 startup building infrastructure for Ethereum-based applications, which gave me hands-on experience with smart contracts, wallets, and on-chain security.
I hold a Computer Science degree from a U.S. university and have been deeply involved in Ethereum and multichain communities since the 2017 cycle. At Coinsale.org, my focus areas include DeFi, NFTs with real utility, Web3 gaming, L2 ecosystems, and the regulatory conversations shaping consumer-facing products. I enjoy interviewing builders, auditors, and founders to cut through marketing buzzwords and highlight what actually works in production. My style is to keep articles technical enough for power users but accessible for newcomers who want to understand risks before clicking “Connect wallet.” In my free time, I mentor women entering the blockchain industry and explore how crypto can support creators, open finance, and communities worldwide.
